Should I choose composite or timber decking?
Composite decking needs very little maintenance and keeps its colour, while timber such as merbau has a natural look but needs regular oiling to stay looking good. We build with both and can talk you through the trade-offs for your yard.
Do I need a permit for a deck in Victoria?
Often, yes. Whether a deck needs a building permit depends mainly on its height, size and location, for example near a pool or a boundary. We will let you know if yours is likely to need one when we quote.
