Quote & pricing terms

1. Quote validity

   • This quotation is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
   • After this period, prices may be re-quoted to reflect current material and labour costs.

2. Material price movement

   • This quote is based on supplier pricing at the date of issue.
   • Where the contract includes a rise-and-fall clause, the contract price will be adjusted only as that clause provides, supported by supplier invoices or price notices provided to you.
   • Items listed as Prime Cost (PC) are allowances. The final cost is the actual cost of the selected product plus the agreed margin.

3. Provisional sums

   • Items marked "Provisional Sum" are estimates for work that cannot be fully priced before work starts.
   • The final cost will be based on actual work done and will be itemised in your final invoice.

4. Variations

   • Any change to the scope, materials or specification will be quoted in writing, including the effect on price and completion date.
   • Variations do not proceed until you approve them in writing.

5. Concealed conditions

   • Prices exclude conditions that could not reasonably be seen before work started, such as rot, termite damage, asbestos, non-compliant plumbing or electrical work, or poor substrate.
   • If found, work will pause and you will receive a written variation to approve.

6. Delays and supply

   • Completion dates are estimates and depend on weather, material availability, third-party trades and your timely decisions.
   • We will notify you promptly of any foreseeable delay.

7. Permits and approvals

   • Unless stated, quotes exclude council permits, building permits, engineering reports and design fees.
   • Where these are required, we will advise you before work starts.

8. Payment

   • The payment schedule, including any deposit and progress payments, is discussed and agreed with you before work commences, and set out in your signed contract.
   • Any deposit will be within the limits allowed under Victorian law.
